We are so thankful for the body of believers that are represented by the Gathering. Lauren and I have been members at the Gathering for the last 5 years. We started attending the Gathering shortly after we got married in February of 2011.
When we came to the Gathering, we found more than a church, we found what Lauren and I like to call “our second family.” A family that we have relied on through many different seasons of life, ministry, and trial. I remember our first time attending the church. We were welcomed and greeted intentionally the very first Sunday. That warm welcome coupled with the Biblical preaching led us to make the Gathering our home church.
Lauren and I have grown much since that first Sunday visit. God has shown us how to be supported by the church but also how to be a support for others. We have learned what it means to function as the body of Christ, to be held accountable, to support and encourage others, and to live life intentionally as followers of Christ.
As Lauren likes to say, the Gathering is our home and we love the people who have become our family there. We are thankful that our daughter gets to have so many aunts, uncles and cousins who will love her, pray for her, encourage us as parents and push her toward Jesus and the truth of his word. The Gathering is our home and we are so thankful to be a part of it.
