Kristina Manley

I am a stay-at-home, homeschooling mother of seven ranging in age from fourteen to four. I love hiking, camping, rock climbing, being on the lake with my paddle board or a kayak, running with friends, etc… and I really want to through-hike the Appalachian Trail one day! I spent ten years working as a pediatric nurse and I still appreciate the opportunity to use my education in short term medical mission’s trips to Guatemala and in teaching health/PE and anatomy/physiology at our co-op. Jon and I have been at The Gathering for almost six years now and we feel like the people here are truly our family. I was surprised, but excited to be nominated and elected as a deacon this past year. I believe that all Christians are to serve, first each other in a church family to build and strengthen the body we’re called to be, and also in the community and “all the world” together as that body. To be imitators of Jesus is to be a servant. I am humbly thankful to be in a position to serve the brothers and sisters God has given me and to help others find opportunities to serve as well.
